Workshop → Calligraphy Archieve

This is a part of relevant calligraphic works of different women collected from the workshop (based on nvshu text structure). The community collected many beautiful pieces of calligraphy from the workshops that were about their own voices/created words.

Workshop → At RCA

After a period of preparation, the first workshop was held at the RCA White City Campus. There were probably close to 20 lovely members who joined, most of them sharing their voices and having their words in advance. During the workshop, we did dialogue, calligraphy, and typography design, to help them create their own words. As well as given the huge connection between voice and the women's bodies, my Henna tattoo artist Rose and I ended up drawing semi-permanent fonts (about their unique voices) on each of their bodies.

Who can be a member of “her text” community and join activities?
For women who realize in their life there is some boundary they really want to break. And hope their voice will be recorded or heard into the history. If you want to attend offline activities, you should be in london currently.

RCA2024--28th July 2024

Join the construction of the Her Text language by attending this Sunday's workshop and contributing to the second Her Text dictionary. During the workshop you will be guided through writing, calligraphy to create your own Her Text words and fonts. You will also learn or understand the basis of the Her Text language, Nüshu, the secret gender language of China. At the end of the workshop, two artists will draw you a unique Haina tattoo based on your calligraphy/font. The words you create during the workshop will be included in the Her Text archive and have the opportunity to be displayed on the website/Instagram.

The next workshop will be run 19th June!!! 🌸🌸
(next Wednesday) 6:00-7:00pm. The good news is that most of you will come to uni to attend the public event- full group update, and you just have to come after that. So there is no need to waste commuting time.

Notice
Anyone who is ready to participate please be sure to let me know ahead of time, (by this Tuesday afternoon) as I will need to prepare the unique Nvshu script for your voice before the event. Otherwise it will be very difficult for you to fully engaged in the workshop.

7th June 2024 (This friday)
This is a small workshop on Friday outside the rca campus on the topic of “spiritual homelessness” (about belonging/lost/loneliness/situation). The address is 4 begonia walk, W12 0BE. All female members will be able to redefine their own word “homeless” in relation to their experiences and feelings. Although the theme is ‘Homelessness’ we will try to make the place as homely as possible and we will provide hot tea, biscuits and music. After the event, Rose and I will be cooking dinner, so please enjoy it together. The place is small so please contact me in advance if you are interested.
